Will Google Help End It's Own Dominance?

Lazy title and almost redundant topic, but hear me out. Second post and already regressed into this age old debate I hear you say......well no.

In light of yesterdays post and Google incessantly pushing it's universal search in every which way it's getting annoying and it's the complete opposite of Google's USP - clear no fuss search.

Google 1998

Top 5 things I've seen recently that I don't like in the search results:
Fancy AJAX is fine, but offering more options in the results it not necessary what I want, I'll just refine my search if I want a video or a tweet. I want to see the top result above the fold not PPC, G make enough money anyway.

Will it all come down to how organises their universal search best?

With a BIG marketing budget ($100m), Yahoo! merger and Bing default on Windows 7 + Hotmail searches will see Microsoft extend it partly ~3% market share and will Google help end it's own dominance?

Hmm.....well bugger this it's Friday night, BlakRoc is playing and I've got a new housemate - let's go a bit nuts!

P.s. Next post will be less hateful.
